Hi Colleen,
Good question. Jay covered it very well. My opinion is that Seasilver is beneficial to a number of people. I welcome any product that is helping people. We can't reach everyone on the planet. Seasilver seems to contain a number of nutrients. As far as comparison is concerned, there is such an insignificant amount of a number of its nutrients that its full value is questionable. Nutrients are threshold sensitive. When you examine research on nutrition, you find that there is a certain volume-threshold that you must attain before each nutrient fulfills its potential role.
There is no way to determine which formula is best. I would stick with the RiteStart because there is a significant amount of the nutrients that are known to have a great impact on health. I am sure that SeaSilver is great for someone that isn't taking a better formula.
There are a number of factors to consider such as what is your present diet like. Do you eat broccoli, spinach, or certain other fruits and vegetables? Many of the micronutrients are found in such foods but do not contain enough of some of the more vital nutrients. If you do not consume any fruits and vegetables then maybe seasilver would be a good base but if you supplement you diet with a few fruits and vegetables, I believe RiteStart would be much better because of the volume of the more important nutrients.
As far as the vitamins being in a liquid, that is sales hype. The stories about finding pills in sewage tanks etc. have been around since the early 60's. The same stories are told today as if it was just happening. We have tested this thoroughly and found that the majority of vitamin capsules and pill dissolve in plenty of time.
Actually, with certain vitamins and minerals fewer vitamins from a liquid formula will absorb through the intestinal walls into the blood. In your small intestines there are receptors for certain nutrients. If you overload these particular receptors, the excess will pass on into lower colon areas and be lost. It is not always a matter of faster is better. This is one reason some nutrients are better consumed with food to slow down the speed at which it reaches these receptors.
