Hi Colleen. I looked at this product and believe it could be one of the better liquid formulas. What I do not like, is that they market this product as a complete formula--saying that one would not need anything else if taking Seasilver.

The claim that it "contains" every vitamin, mineral, amino acid etc, known to man means little to me because the amounts of many of the ingredients are too small. You can only pack so many things in an ounce or two of a liquid.

For what it is, I think it is very good, but for me to get optimal amounts of some of the ingredients I would have to consume many times the standard dose, which could mean too much of other things.

In my opinion, they also go too far with the liquid vs pill claims. The only vitamins that pass through us and clog up sewer systems are some of the cheap formulas bought retail for just a few dollers. As far as I know, any good pill or capsule will dissolve and have good absorbtion in the body unless the person has a particular digestive problem. They want us to believe the only thing that will work is a liquid product such as theirs. I'm sure it has, and will help many people, but many of them may sacrafice optimal nutrition if they believe they can get all they need from this product.

As for our Rite Start, I believe it is much more complete, and I have felt good about buying it. However, in my view there is not ANY one product that will be optimal nutrition for everyone. I complement, or boost my base program with a number of other products, but I am not one looking to just "get by", as I want total, complete, optimal nutrition based on my circumstances and needs. I also believe we generally get what we pay for, so to speek, and to me Seasilver is not a great value.
